This test is used to analyze the function of male gonads. It also depicts the increase or decrease in androgen level in the serum. Its low values relate to impotency in men and other reproductive malfunctions like Klinefelter syndrome and hypogonadism can also be determined through this test. In women, the high levels of testosterones are related to anovulation, increased body hair, ovarian cancer and adrenal hyperplasia (abnormal enlargement of tissue). This test is also recommended to analyze and understand the problems related to puberty.
LabEspy recommends Ulta Lab Tests, Discounted Labs, Walk-In Lab for this test.
