It is used for the diagnosis of different kidney diseases along with chronic renal disorders, which include glomerulonephritis, toxemia of pregnancy or nephrotoxicity of drugs, malignant hypertension, Goodpasture syndrome and renal tubular lesions. Protein: creatinine is usually recommended as a first-morning test. The symptoms that lead to the recommendation of this test include, swelling in feet, frequent urination, muscle cramps, dry skin, weakness and weight loss.
