This test is used to determine the level of four subtypes of immunoglobulin G (IgG 1-4). This test is useful for the evaluation of patients with allergies and recurrent infections. The most abundant subtypes are IgG1 and IgG2 (about 85%). Deficiencies in various classes of IgG are associated with different disorders, EBV infection is associated with IgG1, sinorespiratory infections with IgG2, infection of sinus and ear with IgG3 and allergies and respiratory disorders have been found to be linked with decreased level of IgG4.
LabEspy recommends Ulta Lab Tests, Personalabs, True Health Labs for this test.
